By 2009 Bobby Kipper had spent three decades inside safety and performance work.
The programs worked. Districts used them. Agencies used them.
But he could only be in one room at a time.
He founded The Kipper Group to change that. Then he brought on coaches and consultants with their own decades behind them, each for a specific depth of experience.
Every engagement is led by the consultant whose background fits the work, supported by the rest of the team behind them.

Our consultants came out of police departments, school districts, locker rooms, and boardrooms. Everything we teach, we did first.

Bobby spent 26 years with the Newport News Police Department, retiring as a Master Police Officer. For nearly twenty of those years he served as a police crisis negotiator, training through the FBI's Terrorist and Negotiations Program at Quantico.
He has since written six books, led statewide school safety initiatives for two Virginia governors, directed Virginia's Gang Reduction and Intervention Program, and served as a national expert witness since 2018. In 2024 he received the Government of Dubai UAE Award.
David is co-author of Performance Driven Thinking and the founder of Morgan James Publishing. A former mortgage banker, he started the company in 2003 after a frustrating experience publishing his own book.
Morgan James now releases around 200 new titles a year against a backlist of more than 3,000, and has been named one of America's fastest-growing publishers by Publishers Weekly.
Karen spent 27 years coaching college basketball, finishing with 440 wins across the Newport News Apprentice School, Lenoir-Rhyne, Elon, Old Dominion and UNC Wilmington. As a player she became the first person in NCAA history to record 2,000 career points and 1,000 assists.
She has been inducted into five halls of fame, authored Brave, Bold & Barefoot, and spoken for organizations including Home Depot and the NCAA Leadership Academy.
John has delivered more than 800 keynote and professional learning sessions across the Americas, reaching an estimated 1.5 million students, and his work has helped secure over $22 million in federal education and workforce funding.
He served in the 7th Infantry Division of the United States Army before entering education, and holds a doctorate from Virginia Tech. He co-developed the SAME school improvement framework and is Chief Inspirational Officer of AADULLC.
Laurie has spent more than 30 years in nonprofit leadership and organizational development, working alongside boards and executive teams to turn direction into measurable performance.
She is the founder of GIFT Nonprofit Strategies and Executive Director of the MrBallen Foundation. Her work starts at the board level, on the premise that strong organizations begin with strong, engaged leaders.
Meredith is Northern Arizona Regional Manager at National Bank of Arizona, where she leads 19 branches. She has worked in financial services for 25 years.
An Arizona native, she sits on the boards of the Prescott Valley Chamber of Commerce and United Way of Yavapai County, and speaks regularly to young people about leadership and financial literacy.
Jerald has spent four decades in Arizona public safety and has held a chief's position since 2005, serving Apache Junction, Prescott and Yavapai College, as well as Chief Deputy of the Pinal County Sheriff's Office.
He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, holds a master's degree in leadership and crisis preparedness, and is a past president of the Arizona Police Chiefs Association.
Wendy has spent nearly three decades in education and school safety. She is certified in Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design, the discipline of designing physical spaces to reduce opportunity for harm.
She works with K–12 schools to build proactive safety culture through threat assessment, emergency planning and staff preparedness.
Terri has spent more than 20 years developing and delivering training programs for schools, corporations and community organizations.
Her work centers on curriculum design and the long-term client partnerships that turn a single engagement into lasting change.
